UKS Blog Hop!

Hi there Everyone!

If you are participating in the UKS blog hop, you may have come here from PaperMaze. After checking out our project, go to ScrapRevolution to see the next project, and see the thread on UKS to see the full list of links and info on prizes!

Welcome to our Teeny Christmas Project :)

We're making cute mini books with Dominoes, Alcohol Inks & Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium paper.
Would love to have you create with us.
If you "need" any of the products including the Dominoes we've used,
you can snag them here (see below for Todays Special Offer!)

So, off we go!

Supply List
Alcohol Inks & Felt Applicator,
Dominoes,
Patterned Paper,
Stamps,
Archival ink,
Baby Wipes,
Twine,
Distress Stain,
Hot Stuff Mat
and a Jingle Bell!

1. Grab some Alcohol Inks (co-ordinate your colours with the paper) Don't forget you can mix them, we used blue & yellow to create green), a couple of Dominoes and a felt applicator on a hot stuff mat.

2. Apply colours randomly, wipe off before they dry with a baby wipe and keep re-applying until you're happy with the finished result. I dulled mine down quite a lot as my PP has kinda vintage hues ;)

3. Ink up a Stamp with Archival & stamp image on the dry Domino, wipe off with baby wipe and you'll be left with a ghost image (cool!) Then re-apply inked stamp over the ghost. As it's near enough impossible to get the image in the same place, you'll create a shadow making the image pop (don't you love happy accidents lol!)

Repeat on the second Domino

4. Select your PP, I used Graphic 45 Emporium "Special Delivery" which is great as everything I need is on one sheet :)

5. Cut a strip just short of the length of your Domino

6. Decide how may pages you want, then score & fold at a width just short of the width of your Domino. (Measuring "just short" ensure your book will fit neatly inside)

7. Adhere your concertina to the inside of each Domino (normally I'm a life's too short kinda girl, but you could round the corners of the concertina beforehand!)

8. Choose some words from the remaining paper, cut & stick!

9. These cute stamp images were crying out to be used!

10. Ahem - Waste Not Want Not!

11. When you're done decorating you pages, stain some twine in co-ordinating colours

12. Add a couple of words to the front cover (yes, it's the paper strip again coloured with a smidge of Distress Ink) & slather on a good layer of Stickles (well, it is Christmas!) Wrap around your bespoke coloured Twine et Voila!

13. Notice I decided to stamp the edges of the Dominoes right at the end! You could leave them or another cool idea is to cut a length of tissue tape in half and wrap that around as we did in an earlier post with some Halloween Dominoes :)

Many thanks for looking in, please do leave a comment (include your UKS name) then hop on over to the next Blog.
