Chicken Soup #43

Here we are again!
This weeks Chicken Soup inspirational picture is Wonderful! (check it out & join in!)
Here's my take on this weeks image

Love this picture of Kieran looking overboard at the peculiar stillness of the sea. It was quite dramatic, everyone was transfixed watching from all the decks after dinner. A true moment of reflection :)

So, onto products used....
Tims Lost & Found paper, Marvy Black pen & Promarker Brown for the freehand circles, Random ephemera plus a few pieces from this gorgeous pack by Girls Paperie. A Tim Muse token & 2 Tim stamps, one from the Odds & Ends set & the other from Stuff to Say.

Have a Great Weekend!
We're Cropping tomorrow, so pop over to join us if you can, we have spaces ;)

Chicken Soup #42

Hello Friday Soupers!
Here is my interpretation of this weeks gorgeous photograph over on the Chicken Soup Blog :)

Yesterday at the Promarker Coffee Morning I coloured in the Tatty Button stamped image onto Smooth cardstock & die cut it with Tims Ornamental Bigz Die.
I used Dotted Swiss for the card & background. The flower & ephemera is by Girls Paperie & the wee buttons are by Trimits. The cute handbag brad was a pressie from Lou - thank you!

Join us each month for a play with Promarkers where we share stamps & eat cake!

Have a Sunny Weekend!

My garden this morning!

Random - but just thought I'd share.
My front garden is full of these Beauties & here are the first 2 of this year in flower
Love 'em!

Here's a few others too :)

Chicken Soup #40

Hi again Soupers!
Here's my interpretation of the gorgeous picture posted on this weeks Chicken Soup Blog :)
I used the colours this week, my favourite - Blue!

To be honest, I started this layout a month ago at the Midnight Crop (before I saw the Soup Recipe) because I fancied playing with the gorgeous Teresa Collins papers, so all I needed to add today was the photo & journalling. I tried to photograph it at work only to discover my SD card was at home, grrr! So I'm late posting again & may not make the Soup blog, but here it is anyway!

btw. the Longfellow Quote sticker is available in the shop & will be available online soon :)

Have a Sunny Weekend :)

Somerset Studio May/April

Just thought I'd share a few peeks inside the latest edition available to order here :)

The May/June 2011 issue of Somerset Studio showcases the results of one of our favorite themed-challenges to date: Fearless. Inside the issue, you will find artists sharing art that represents what fearless means to them. Theresa Martin went outside of her comfort zone to create art larger than she ever had before in the form of a heavily layered vintage-inspired collage. Erin Kenepp stayed true to her minimalist journaling style and created a book project titled "Becoming Brave." We also feature the art of the groundbreaking and well-loved artist, Sabrina Ward Harrison, in this issue’s Artist Profile.
