Hi Everyone! 

Here's my piece for this weeks Chicken Soup Recipe.

I went with the colours in the photo, love 'em!

Here's a Nice 'n Easy Step by Step :)

Cut tag & bookplate using Grafix Chipboard & Sizzix die (thanks Julie!)

Paint tag & inside of bookplate with Aqua Paint Dabber

Paint bookplate with Jo Sonja's Yellow Green Paint

Stamp images from the Artemio Birds & Nest Set on the tag

Stamp phrase from Tims Odds & Ends Set

using Versamagic Jumbo Java Ink Pad.

Make sure everything's Dry!

Attach bookplate with Scrappy Glue & fix with brads.

Run a strip of tape across tag & attach mini puffball trim.

Chicken Soup Recipe #2

Here's my take on this weeks Inspiration!

Unfortunately I never managed to dust off my sewing

machine this week and incorporate real stitches -

Thank goodness for clear stamps!

Ingredients:

Buy frame from £1 shop ;)

Prime with Gesso

Add Paint with Brushes & Stamps

Stamp faux stitches around each aperture

Add 2 photos & patterned papers

Embellish with bits n pieces!

Add dots of Glossy Accents & Liquid Pearls

Allow to dry!

Just a quick plug for this amazing workshop

which is in two weeks time on Saturday

27th February with the talented Louise Connell!

It's a bit of a last minute one but we thought it

would be perfect for Mothers Day

(if you could bring yourself to give it away of course!)

This £15 workshop will run from 10am till noon,

where you will be using The Artistic Stamper

Flower stamps, Jo Sonjas paints and the

gorgeous Bo Bunny papers.

It doesn't stop there, bring along some lunch

and you can then stay for the afternoon and

make use of our extensive stamp &

die cutting collection.

Louise creates cards to die for and has set

up a successful business where she sells

her creations on the Misi site. She is also

produces fantastic scrapbook layouts

which have been published in mags :)

Well who isn't???!!!

I just love cards and layouts with depth & chunkiness!

Here's one using Teresa Collins paper, painted over with

Jo Sonja's paints, edged with the mighty Woodware trimmer,

Embellished with Liquid Pearls, Brown Glitter paper hearts
punched with EK Success punches, Prima flowers, Lace, beads

buttons and general odds and ends.

Julie Valentines Workshop Day!

Yes really, Julie's surname is Valentine!

So we just had have her teach a Valentines themed workshop and share some of her gorgeous work that she creates here in her studio :)

On Saturday 6th February from 10am - 12 noon or Tuesday 9th you will create an acrylic canvas in your choice of colours and words to adorn any home or, if you can bear it, give away as a gift (perish the thought!)

Here are 2 that Julie has done as examples:

Then you will use your heart template to create this amazing tag (again, heaven only knows how you'll ever manage to attach it to a gift and physically part with it!)

and a close up :)

In the afternoon there will be a Valentine Mobile decoration to indulge yourselves with, pictures of that to follow soon :)
